The fateful battle

Zarun was fighting against a knight when he saw his master slump to the ground. He quickly finished his fight with the knight with a fireball and rushed to come to his master aid. While he wounded lay on the ground Zarun attacked the culprit with his flames and brought two to death and kept the rest of the attackers with a wall of fire in distance from him and his master.
He approached his master, who was dying. With his last remaining strength he gave Zarun his necklace, on which hung an amulet. With his trembling red claw- proven hand he grabbed the necklace from his master.
Thereupon said the dying one he should now flee . But Zarun refused, he would not abandon his master.
Only after he told him that it is a command that he should flee, he followed finally reluctantly.
Just in time before the wall of fire expired, he managed to escape. He ran fast, but with frequent views back.
Not only to see possible pursuers but also because of his hope that his master will appear on the horizon, nevertheless managed to get up and run away.
Finally, he reached the camp where the rest of the group waited for their return. His last words were that his lord had fallen in battle. These words struck the son of the fallen one like a stab to the heart. Since them Zarun was no longer the same. Later when he has moved away from the rest of the group and was alone he put necklace of his master he has rehung in sad memory of his master around his neck.
